Summer Job Posting – Looking for Lake Hosts!

One of Winnisquam Lake’s local lake groups is in need of Lake Hosts! See below for details.

The Lake Winnisquam Watershed Association is looking for one or more individuals to serve as Lake Hosts at the public boat ramp on Water Street in Laconia this summer. Lake Hosts provide courtesy boat inspections and public education to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive plants and animals between water bodies.

This is a paid position (at approximately $9.75/hr) made possible through a grant from NH LAKES.  The hours are 9am to 3pm every Saturday and Sunday from June 24th through Labor Day, plus the 4th of July and Labor Day Monday. The hours may be split among multiple individuals but all Lake Hosts must be 18 years or older.

This is a great summer job opportunity for college students or anyone wanting to help protect Lake Winnisquam. A full position description is available here.

If interested, please contact Erich Bockley of the Lake Winnisquam Watershed Association at Erich.bockley@osram.com or 978 239-3401.
