Volunteer River Assessment Program (VRAP) training, May 4th

For anyone that would like to volunteer to help with water sampling in the tributaries flowing into and out of Lake Winnisquam, NH DES is holding a training session on Saturday May 4th at 9am.  The training is at the NH Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, 172 Pembroke Road in Concord. Volunteer Lake Assessment Program (VLAP) training, May 18th

NH DES is holding a training session for anyone that would like to volunteer to help with water sampling on Lake Winnisquam to determine the health and quality of our lake water.  The training session is on Saturday May 18th at 8:30am, at the NH Department of Environmental Services, 29 Hazen Dr, Concord.  More details can be found at the NHDES website.  Please register by May 13th.

Stormwater Runoff Workshop, June 18th

The Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee is holding a workshop on how to better manage stormwater runoff on your property.  The workshop is on June 18th from 4:30 to 7:30pm, at Meredith Community Center, 1 Circle Drive, Meredith.  See the flyer for more details.

NH Lakes – Annual Lakes Congress

NH Lakes is holding their 2019 Lakes Congress Thursday and Friday, May 30th and 31st at Church Landing at Mill Falls, Meredith.

2019 DES Weed Watcher Training, June 1st

WWN will be holding a Weed Watcher training class on June 1st from 9 to 11am in the Community Meeting Room at Franklin Savings Bank, 67 Laconia Rd in Tilton (next to the Tilton Diner).  Staff from NHDES will be on hand to instruct volunteers on how to conduct a weed survey, what to look for, and who to contact if there is a problem. You will also be provided a binder full of information on the program, details on the most threatening invasives, and a plant identification key for common aquatic plants.

2019 WWN Annual Meeting, July 27th

The WWN annual meeting will be held on Saturday July 27th from 9 to 11am at the Leslie Roberts Beach and Recreation area off of Route 3 in Belmont.  Existing and new members welcome.  Please bring your own chair.
